Kieran Richardson has denied any suggestion of a rift with Stuart Pearce following his reaction to being substituted during England's goalless draw with the Czech Republic.

The Manchester United winger marched straight down the tunnel when he was replaced by Wayne Routledge after 57 minutes of Monday's match but has insisted that he was simply seeking immediate treatment to aid his recovery after suffering a sore back. "I wouldn't disrespect the manager like that, I went straight in to get treatment and get that out of the way," he said.
