永远敢于改变--加里内维尔寄语弗格森执教曼联20周年

Gary Neville believes Sir Alex Ferguson's forward thinking is what sets him apart from other managers.

加里.内维尔表示正是那种敢于改变的精神使得老爵爷能取得今日之成就。

The Reds' boss celebrates twenty years in charge at Old Trafford on Monday and Neville has led the tributes to his manager.

The skipper credits Sir Alex with making him in to the player he is today and also believes the Scot's ability to know when it is time for a change is what has kept him at the top for so many years.

再过三天（1986年11月6号），就是弗格森入主曼联20周年的大日子，日前，全队上下为老爵爷举办了20周年庆典，队长加里.内维尔在典礼上致词。

红魔队长首先感谢了弗格森对他的培养，接着他说道，老爵爷之所以能取得今天的成就，很重要的一个原因在于他对足球世界变化的敏感并且勇于主动做出变化。

"He’s always been one step ahead," Neville told ManUtd.com. "Other clubs have seen that producing homegrown players is the best policy and he also knows when to change teams or when to change players.

"United won the double in ’94 and a year later he broke that side up and brought the young players through. He’s always regenerating the team. He has the foresight to know when he needs to change things, and that is what has kept him at the top.

"But, also, always in the back of his mind is that he has to win. He’s a winner, no doubt about that. And that drives him on.

在接受曼联官方网采访时，内维尔说道：“他总是比别人超前一步，在其他俱乐部才刚刚了解到培养本土年青球员的重要性时，他已经学会该如何给这些球员机会，好让他们融入队伍中。

"Without him I wouldn’t be here now," added the 31-year-old. "He’s been crucially important to my career. He showed faith to help me and the other young lads to go on and play for United. It took bottle to do that.

"He’s always had money to spend and it would have been easy for him to spend it. But the first thing he did when he came to the club was to overhaul the youth system and introduce the likes of Brian Kidd, Nobby Stiles and keep Eric Harrison on.

"Through that, he reaped the rewards. But it was his vision, his mentality and his faith."

Comparisons have predictably been drawn with the United's other great manager Sir Matt Busby. Neville admits it is difficult to choose between the two in terms of who is the best, but believes Sir Alex's supreme trophy haul stands alone within the game.

"Sir Matt performed as manager for such a long time at this club and as a United fan, you could never expect to see the likes of that again," explained the defender. "But it has happened and the boss has gone on to surpass Sir Matt’s achievements in terms of trophies.

"United have been very lucky to have two such great managers. And it seems incredible to think - in an age where managers get sacked left, right and centre – that one manager has been at the biggest club in the country for 20 years is unbelievable.

"But, he’s done because he has stood the test of time and produced great teams; it’s an incredible achievement." added Neville.
